The Coptic Orthodox Church Offers Support in the Wake of Hurricane Katrina


The Coptic Orthodox Church, represented by His Holiness Pope Shenouda III, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, 12 Bishops, 174 Priests from United States and Canada, in their Annual Seminar at St. Mary's Spiritual Vineyard, Charlton, Massachusetts, express their grief and offer their prayers over the disaster caused by Hurricane Katrina which affected several cities in the Southern States.

In a unanimous show of support by all the Coptic Churches of North America, a relief fund has been established through the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of the Southern United States to help those stricken by this hurricane, and prayers will be offered in all Coptic Churches for the victims of the hurricane.

If you would like to contribute to the Southern Diocese's Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief Fund, make your check payable to "Diocese of the Southern United States" (indicate on your check that your donation is for the Katrina Fund) and mail it to:
