Al Ahram: a racist pro-governemnt Egyptian newspaper
Al Ahram's despicable report on the launch of the first Coptic channel reveals the newspaper's racist face.
Egypt is a country where anti-Semitic and anti-Christian books are sold freely on the sidewalks in the streets, where hate mongers write freely in its press, where mosques call Jews the descendants of Apes and Pigs, where national TV and Radio stations often broadcast hate filled materials promoting hostility against Christians, Jews and the USA as well, Al Ahram itself is a newspaper that publishes anti-Christian writings such as those of Zaghloul Annajar, an Islamic scholar and researcher who claimed the Tsunami disaster was a result of Allah's wrath and America's nuclear testing in the region, Annajar also called Jews sons of apes and pigs in many of his articles. Despite all that, the Al Ahram newspaper never for once criticized anti-Semitism nor anti-Coptic rhetoric in the Egyptian media.
And despite the presence of many Islamic satellite channels in the region such as Iqra'a, which was permitted to operate freely even though it promotes anti-Semitism "Click here to watch materials aired by this hate promoting channel , which the Egyptian government hosts on Nile Sat " , yet the mere presence of a Coptic channel is considered a sin and a challenge to the sick mentality of Al Ahram's racist and hate-promoting reporters. We as Copts should never think to have our own channels, we should sumbit and pay Jizzya with willing subdue! how dare we think of having our own channel?!
Let's see how they think of the channel:
Quote: "The timing of the channel's launch has also contributed to the controversy surrounding it. It began broadcasting less than a month after sectarian tension in Alexandria over a church play that was deemed offensive by Muslims resulted in clashes that killed three and injured hundreds." End quote
Even though the process of establishing the channel started over 4 years ago, and has no relevance to the recent attacks of Muslim mobs on the Coptic church in Alexandria, yet to the sick minds of Al Ahram, it's always a conspiracy; the non-Muslims are always conspiring against the Muslims (for what reason?!) according to the report.
It is worthy to mention that Al Ahram, which was established by two Christians in the 19th century, is now a newspaper that discriminates against Christians; it is almost void of any Coptic reporters or columnists!
