Al-Jazeera, The Mouthpiece Of Terrorists

This guy's middle finger says it all I guess
His sign :"Don't Bomb the Messenger" is missing "of terror" at the end.
Al-Jazeera is playing the victim, and it works for some naïve westerners who are not aware of what kind of content this channel airs, it claims to be an objective channel that covers any event with no agenda in mind, but a recent demonstration held by Al-Jazeera' staff in Ramallah exposes what kind of objectivity this channel stands for.

Click here to watch the video of the Al-Jazeera TV staff in Ramallah demonstrating.

Al-Jazeera that never called Bin Ladin a terrorist; and always refers to what happened in September 11th as: "What is called terrorism" instead of : a "Terrorist act" is now chanting "Down with Fascist America" !
Click here for a transcript of segments of the demonstration where Al-Jazeera staff were chanting: Down with Fascist America

The Saudi journalist Mshari Zaydi chastises the Arab media for the belief that Bush is "the only fundamental enemy of the Arabs and no other, not terrorism, nor the fundamentalist culture, nor the chauvinistic speeches of the kind made by Al-Jazeera's satellite heroes."

It seems increasingly apparent that the USA does have distressingly strong Fascist undercurrents. While this is by no means a proof, the common aspects of a Fascist state include:

1 - Powerful and Continuing Nationalism (lots of flags displayed, emotive attachment to phrases such as "this great nation", etc., in political rhetoric)

2 - Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights (Guantanamo, Abu-Ghraib, Cheney's attempts to exempt the CIA from bans on torture)

3 - Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause (such nebulous ones as Islam, Terror)

4 - Supremacy of the Military (to which around 50% of the Federal Budget is allocated)

5 - Sexism (read - male heterosexual dominance incl. homophobia: Bush refused to sign UN proposal on women's sexual rights, called for constitutional ban on gay marriage)

6 - Controlled mass media (see

7 - Obsession with national security (repeated warning that nation is in danger, enemies simply "hate freedom", etc.)

8 - Religion and Govt. interlinked (Bush an evangelical fundamental Christian. Enough said.)

9 - Protection of corporate power

10 - Suppression of labour power

11 - Disdain for intellectuals/arts

12 - Obsession w/ crime & punishment

13 - Rampant cronyism & corruption

14 - fraudulent elections (which many forget has been the case since Bush was first 'elected').

In essence, what too many right-wing patriotic Americans think is: "It's not Fascism when we do it." Which is, of course, bullshit.

Patrick calls Islam a scapegoat....keep on sleeping till they get you. you are a part of the stupid alliance between the liberals and the islamists. he hates Bush because he is an evangelical Christian and has the guts to call Islam as a scapegoat! what an idiot.

Liberals hate fellow Americans more than Islamists

The fact that some liberals have betrayed Western values in their naïve desire to find common ground with Islamists, has more to do with their love of diversity and desire to provide justice to those who they perceive as underprivileged. Indeed, these noble sentiments can often be misguided, but guilt by association should never be a component of serious analysis. Most people on the left share no more common ground with the Islamists than the conservatives that choose to confront political Islam. I can just as well argue that the disproportionate influence of corporations on the U.S. government brings the American system closer to the despotism of the Mullahs in Iran. This too is an oversimplification. In effect, any suggestion that statist liberalism has more in common with militant Islam than corporate capitalism is not only offensive, it has no legitimate basis.

I don't think we should hold detainees in Guantanamo, we ought to show them the American spirit by giving them chocolate, food stamps, and free housing, we should never question them because this makes us look like Fascists. We should never interfere in their business of terror, or plots to attack us because this is a violation of their human rights

To patrick

I was not born in the USA, but I thank God it does exist.

If you think that"It seems increasingly apparent that the USA does have distressingly strong Fascist undercurrents" you are distressingly misinformed or misguided. I invit you to travel to one of the Arab or Moslem countries, and live there for a while, not just visit for few days, and then you can come back and tell us the type of system they have. You might say that we should be better than them, and I would totally agree, because the US model IS ALREADY the best model in the world now. Surely, there are some defects(Americans are human after all)but there is no comparable system at present. Why do you think people from all over the world clamor to emigrate to the US??

Bush goes ballistic about other countries being evil and dangerous, because they have weapons of mass destruction. But, he insists on building up even a more deadly supply of nuclear arms right here in the US. What do you think? What is he doing to us, and what is he doing to the world?
If ever there was ever a time in our nation's history that called for a change, this is it!
The more people that the government puts in jails, the safer we are told to think we are. The real terrorists are wherever they are, but they aren't living in a country with bars on the windows. We are.
