Egyptian Semi-Official Newspaper : Refugees Killed Themselves

Just like in every incident against the Copts, the Egyptian media- sadly- is misleading the public and claims that the death of over 20 Sudanese refugees was due to a stampede and not because of police brutality!!

Al Ahram, front page, December 31, 2005

The refugees began attacking the security forces and threw small gas cylinders and belongings at them, and then they were woven into masses to continue their attacks against the police forces, which resulted in the death of ten strikers who were trampled and suffocated in a stampede under the multitude of refugees

Here is one crucial fact that the Corporate Media Cartel will never mention in it's reports: the Sudan refugees were Christian.

Having fled Islamic genocide in South Sudan, they encounter it in Cairo. My heart aches when I try to imagine what these people have been through. As would any human being familiar with the genocidal acts of the Sudanese Arabs -- aerial bombardment of Christian villages, "convert and eat" camps where kidnapped children are starved until they convert to Islam, and, of course, wholesale slaughter of families by attackers with automatic weapons.

God help our Sudanese Coptic brethren! Two million have died already!!!

There is no doubt whatsoever that the methods used to evacuate the refugees were brutal and barabaric.

The refugees caused a problem..sure, but was that a good way to deal with such a problem? why couldn't the police be more patient and allowed more time for negotiations? Were ALL peacful means exhausted before resorting to such violence against civilians??

Compare, if you will, this situation with what happened in France, where for weeks, the authorities exercised self control towards groups of hooligans who destroyed cars and buildings for weeks until the situation came to an end. This inspite of the fact that if the French police used force aganist these thugs, the police would be completely justified.
